KC
NAP was the brainchild of CTC President Graeme Gibson
who together with several partners*
and substantial input from area carriers established the KC
NAP in July of 2004. The
NAP is a private facility (PNAP) one of about 40 in the world.
It is designed to provide an all IP network interconnect and
peering facility.
Key to the KC NAP success is the concept of
keeping local traffic local. After all, why go to Chicago
or Dallas to peer when you just need to cross the street.
Advanced services like IPv6
and VLAN's are also available.
The KC NAP also offers the advantage of
Internet Geography. For those clients looking to
accelerate their national traffic the KC NAP also helps. When
you think about it there is a good reason that Kansas City
is the central shipping hub for the North American continent,
it is in the middle, and all roads lead here. That is why
almost every catalog shipper and bulk package facility headquarters
is here. While Internet traffic moving thousands of miles
a second is not so bound by distance, in many applications
it is still incredibly important. Kansas City has about a
30% average latency advantage to all other points for use
in the USA. So if your applications are latency sensitive
you owe it to yourself to check us out. In fact we are so
confidant of the quality of the network, we will let you test
a server for up to a week just to prove it to yourself.
Our partners make it possible to offer you
"Cost Effective Computing." According to
CTC Founder Graeme Gibson, this concept brings the
best players together to give you all the goods and services
desired at the best price possible. Lets face it no one does
everything well, but everyone has special strengths and capabilities,
as system integrators it has been CTC's job to marry the best
facilities, processes, procedures, equipment, software and
services to insure that you have what you need, Internet that
works how you need it and when you need it. If you are interested

* The KC NAP is a separate company, owned
by the professional limited liability corporation, KC NAP,
LLC. While we work cooperatively our relationships are all
arms length or contractual in nature. CTC does not represent
the KC NAP beyond that of a sales and technical support agent.
